Well...it's today for me. Why is the clock set to Pacific Standard Time (GMT -7) ? Granted, both the Hawkinses and my Meridth live in the mythical land of California, but I thought Karl started the blog. Shouldn't we use Eastern?

Well...lucky me, I get first dibs on wishing Mergie happy b-day. So there, nee-nernee!

Now that I'm thinking about it...

(and it REALLY is an interesting topic of contemplation)

...we have three Gimbels in the Eastern time zone, a Gimbel and a Brandon and seven Martin/Gimbel/Unknown married namers in Central, Ryan, Casey and the Girls in Mountain, and the Hawkinses and Meridth in Pacific. That's ALL the major time zones in the US, sice nobody cares what time it is in Alaska or Hawaii.

Oh yeah, and me on the Greenwich Mean. That's FIVE time zones! We rule!

Darn it Rusty! I thought I would be the first to post a HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGIE on the blog! I'm in Chicago this weekend and am struggling to go to sleep without the Chard. It is 1:30 a.m. and I thought I blog until I could fall asleep!

at any rate...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGIE!!!

Thank you for the Birthday wishes! It was great to see you Betsey even if it was just for an hour or so. Have safe travels to DC and Rusty, I hope your day is smashing! Thanks again for thinking of me.

I love you!

Marjorie,

Happy, happy birthday, Margie. I am having all kinds of happy flashbacks to the day you were born. Steve and Sue Claybourne from Minnesota had been visiting us in Walworth, and after they left, I changed and washed sheets. I remember how my back hurt, and I wondered if I might be going into labor.

You weren't born until eight minutes before midnight. Doctor O'Brien asked me if I was superstitious about the number 13, and he said he'd wait those last eight minutes if I wanted to, but I said, "No, I'm not superstitious! Just do the surgery right away." and he did, and you were born! I was so happy to have a little girl, and you were so beautiful! Thank you for being my daughter. I have loved having you be mine!
