So I chewed up some gravel today. Yum. Took a bad step on wet brick and bashed the dickens out of my shin. Owa! Really, it was a boneheaded move; i was valuting a wall whilst on my morning run. The round wound on the lower right was about 3-4mm deep. It still hasn't stopped oozing.

Here's the same wound eight hours later. Still hurts. I'm thinking I'll probably get some vicious bruising. We'll see.

3-4 mm? this is america you commie bastard. that would be .118 to .157 INCHES to you red blooded, beer swilling, apple pie loving, domestic car driving AMERICAN'S. sounds a little reckless for a guy without insurance. (do you have insurance?) keep the wound clean my brutha.

Yeah, and I would recommend bandaids instead of the little red and yellow stickers you have on your wound, you crazy nut. No more jumping over fences!! Sorry that I missed your call yesterday, my phone is broken. I'll give you a call later!
Those aren't stickers, they are band-aids, or as the British call them, plasters. As for the metric system, you'll be pleased to learn Ryan, that I chose 3-4mm as a designation because I could feel that the wound was roughly half the width of a 9mm round deep. Can't get much more American than that.
I'll call you dude. It's cheaper! Exam today, wish me luck.
Edward, good luck with your exam! My phone is still broken, so call me on Richard's phone (310)367-1234
What an awful sight for a mother to see--her little boy with a bad cut. I wish I could be there to make it all better. Actually, I wish Meridth could be there to make it all better. She seems to be a smash-bang-up nurse these days, taking such good care of her father. She will probably feel even worse than I do to see her best friend and favorite guy with such an awful wound.
Anyway, my best advice is to keep it very very clean. Wash it with lots of soap and water. You might even consider putting antibiotic soap and water into a spray bottle, and spraying the area at least twice a day. You should keep it covered to prevent infection. Dad would probably recommend hydrogen peroxide sprays.
Keep us posted on your progress. If you see any little white dots around it, that means infection, and get it checked out immediately.
I also hope your testing goes (went) well. Of course, I happen to believe you are brilliant! I'm sure you'll WOW your professors.
Love you, Claudia
