It looks like we will be moving to Cleveland in May. Plan your visit now to The Cleve'.
Any packing and moving tips from those of you who have done a big move? Once I finish my masters project, I'm planning on starting the packing process. I need to do some major edits and reductions of our stuff. It is amazing to think that Richard and I moved to LA three years ago with three car loads of stuff and that was it! Here are just a few things in our garage that we will be either donating or getting rid of:
1. A broken picnic basket
2. Material to build 2 liter bottle rockets (for Richard's Boy Scouts)
3. lots and lots and lots of tote bags. I don't know why I have so many totes, but I do.
4. A few strange Christmas decorations that Richard will insist that I throw away, but that I sort of love. This includes a "Thai Santa"
5. Potting soil
This is just the coo-coo crazy stuff that is in our garage! I haven't even started to look in the deep, dark crevices of the closets in my apartment! Seriously, any tips or ideas about moving would be greatly appreciated!
We are still trying to figure out the logistics of the move and everything, but we will keep you all posted!

I can't wait to come and visit you in the Cleve! We love and miss you guys so much.
As far as moving advice, Hm. Having moved several times while living in Chicago, B and I were pretty good about consistently keeping clutter to a minimum. So when we moved to NC, it wasn't that big of an undertaking.
Also since it was long-distance move, we had the movers pack-up everything in our house. I just watched. And it only took a day for the three man crew. I would highly recommend this option as it was the only way the moving company would give complete insurance coverage on our things.
Good luck. I love you

I agree with Margie. Less clutter is better. And big trucks. I like those too.
Edward and I are looking forward to our 8th move, in the past 2 years, when we go to Monterey this summer. Moving stinks.
Good luck guys.
start packing the things you don't use now. invest in paper products (plates and cups and such) make sure you pack and identify the box that you need right a way at the new place. -- toiletpaper, inportinant papers, babie needs and have that box with you.
have hun and good luck
