Seeing Ryan's car post got me to thinking about cars... my first car specifically, a 1988 GMC Sierra 1500 (mine in the same sense that the tracker was marjorie's). Beautiful red paint, the way it would die when you tried to punch it through an intersection, leaving you somewhere in the middle with cars barreling down on you, the fact that it didn't start in temperatures under 20. Even with all this i still love that truck and would love to have it back. I looked for a picture of one on the internet typing "gmc sierra 1988 red 1500" into a google image search and down the line I got a picture of Fidel Castro. Maybe Fidel has the same longing for a 1988 GMC Sierra like I do. Maybe he's so lucky to have one himself. Maybe he's got mine!! All these thoughts about old cars reminded me of the crashmobile and her better looking younger sister the white wagon. How about the Ford Crown Victoria. Why did you ever sell that ryan? Man dad has had a lot of cars.

dad sold that car to me, i drove it to utah, 2 months later the transmission went out. i think this was dad's way at a little bit of a payback of sorts. :) anyway, had i known what i know about cars now, i would have pulled a T-5 out of a mustang and been down the road for less that 500 for everything. of course i could say that about all the cars i've owned before i moved out here. if i would have only known what i know now.

I should be going to bed, but your comment that dad has owned a lot of cars got me to wondering if I could list them all. We'll see how much I know after 33-plus years of marriage.

I think this is all of them. If I have forgotten any, you can remind me. I am getting forgetful in my old (52) age, but the hardest ones to remember were all the cars in the last ten years. There are just too many of them to remember them all. What is your dad thinking of anyway?
Oh well, I'd better get to bed. I have a two-hour delay tomorrow, but I should get to school early to post my grades.
Love you all,
Claudia
