You guys heard about these shennanigans yet? It seems a couple of greasy artist-type marketrs advertising for the "Aqua Team Hunger Force" movie placed several lightboards with this na'er-do-well on them a few weeks ago. I thought it was a fairly weak stab at guerrilla marketing, but apparently someone mistook them for an explosive devise and a whole hulabaloo has arisen. Charges have been filed. 9/11 was invoked. Yuck. Terrorism at its silliest. Anyway, read all about it on CNN. (After all, CNN's parent company is behind it all.)

These crazy tech nerds...

I thought it was interesting that the advertisement had been on display in LA, Chicago, NY and other big cities, with no incidences. But it caused such a stir in Boston.

i thought the same thing betsey. this same campaign was in all the other major cities, and for some reason 5 bostonians simultaniously called in "suspicious technically advanced devices" or whatever they were calling them. its a light-bright for hells sakes. are you kidding me? and they are going to try and press charges? outlandish!

let me also add as a counterpoint, i also feel it was in irrisponsible advertising campaign. unconventional can be good, but considering the size and reputation of the company they were representing, it might have been a bit overboard. anyway. crazy stuff
